Use six 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 2" loaf pans and one layer cake pan 9 x 1 1/2". If you want a longer train, use more loaf pans and eliminate the layer pan.
Grease and flour the loaf and cake pans.
Heat the oven to 350 °
Prepare any boxed white cake mix and bake per instructions on the box.
Fill each loaf pan 1/2 fun with batter. Pour remaining batter into the layer pan.
Bake the layer pan for 25 to 30 minutes. Bake the loaf pans about 20 to 25 minutes.
Allow the cakes to cool then place each loaf top-side down on a large platter or on individual serving plates.
Cover the cakes with creamy white frosting and sprinkle with flaked coconut and silver candy sprinkles.
Use lifesaver type candy mints for the train wheels and smokestack candle holders.
